It’s the Grand Opening of the newly revamped Angel’s Oasis Fanfiction Archive!
Time to celebrate a new site housing the creative works of writers, artist, and fans who made Angel’s Oasis their fandom home.
The Angel’s Oasis Forum was founded when the Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel television shows were at the height of their popularity. It was the gathering place for Cordelia/Angel(us) shippers who enjoyed expressing their love of the characters through fan fiction, fan art, fan vids, and discussion.
Like many traditional forums, the sun has set on AO, but our love of this ‘ship lives on through our creativity and the memories of the fun times we shared. The AO Archive includes fan fiction posted directly at the site, plus any new Cordelia/Angel(us) stories you would like to contribute.
AO Authors who have since updated their ongoing stories, or have some hidden away on their computers, feel free to submit them for archiving. The eager masses want more C/A goodness.
The FicExtras section includes links to AO’s Holiday Fanfiction as well as Multi-Author Collaborations, and Writing Challenges.
If you’re not a writer, there is plenty of fan fiction to read and enjoy. A few fics have been rediscovered during the transfer from the old site, which is no longer accessible.

Lysa,
I love you but GAAAAAH! I just finished a rec list on my LJ that now has at least half a dozen broken links because you did this! Then there are my bookmarks! Sigh, on the bright side no one reads my LJ as far as I’m aware so there’s no rush to fix this.
On another, better note, I should have a fic of my own to add soon. It’s taken me some time due to perfectionism and a bit of a distraction from another fandom but I’m at least halfway through. It wasn’t supposed to be as long as it’s turning out but I’ve gotten carried away. If you’d don’t mind I’d like to email it to you when it’s finished as I’d like it beta-ed before I publicize it even on my ghost town of an LJ and you’re one of few still active fic-writing fans. I know, this is what I get for coming in late.
Even with this bit of annoyance, you rock always, Anne

Hi Anne! Oooh! New fic. I am so excited. I would love to beta it for you. Just let me know what kind of recommendations you’re looking for.
One little piece of advice for anyone linking anything….never post notices right before you go to sleep or to work like I did. I discovered that the A-L fic archive links that I ingeniously decided to add by hand to make the process faster only worked for me in editing mode and did not show up for the public. So I have to fix that. I decided to hide the post until I correct the links. Probably a good 12-24hrs of work. So much for being a time saver. Good news is that I figured out how I screwed up, so I know what to do to correct it.

What’s a Grand Opening without a snafu or two? Apparently, I wouldn’t know. Missing links to Angel’s Oasis Fanfic Archive’s A thru L fics have now (I think) been fixed. I made a mad dash to the computer this morning only to keep getting sidetracked by pausing to read the fanfics along the way. There’s some yummy, naughty, heart-warming, wonderful and angsty stuff in there. Definitely worth rereading again and again.
